Real World Examples
Where innovation meets common sense.
Without common sense, new technologies can create as many problems as they solve.
That’s why EIM actuators are based on proven technologies that work in the real world. They’re easy to install, easy to operate, easy to maintain, and easy to upgrade.
For example, we use modular designs, common parts, self-contained Baldor motors, easy-to-read displays, common-sense icons, and torque-saving hand cranks.
From installation through operation and maintenance, EIM makes innovative technology work for you. Scroll down for further proof.
Case In Point
Managers at one of the largest metropolitan wastewater treatment facilities were becoming frustrated with the hard-wired valve actuators throughout their plant. Humid conditions from salt-laden air were causing reliability problems due to rust and corrosion… and the miles of jumbled wires were a nuisance for both maintenance and housekeeping.
EIM provided a new fleet of TEC2000 actuators equipped with the company’s exclusive Controlinc monitoring and control system. Now, a single wall-mounted master station cabinet the size of a suitcase stands in place of the old cluttered racks and wiring harnesses. Where technicians once had to go out to manually push buttons on individual actuators (in order to open or close valves and gates), they can now handle the task remotely via touch-screens. And if the plant managers ever opt to have the new actuators join the plant’s distributed digital control network, the actuators are already equipped to serve using industry standard, non-proprietary Modbus protocol.
