Demanding Industries
Where failure is not an option.
On oil and gas pipelines, in power and petrochemical plants, and in water and wastewater treatment plants, an unreliable actuator can be more than a problem—it can be a disaster waiting to happen. Like leaping from a plane with an unstable parachute.
When a plant manager orders a change; when an engineer specs an upgrade; when a field tech makes an adjustment—there’s often little time and little room for error.
That’s why leaders in these mission-critical industries like the common-sense strength and reliability of EIM valve operators.
Case in Point
An actuator that couldn’t survive the operating parameters of a power plant resulted in catastrophic failure of a main steam isolation valve.
Plant operators wanted to make sure they would never experience that crisis again, so they replaced the inferior actuator with new equipment from EIM. The critical difference is that EIM’s standard bevel gears are made from ductile iron, providing the strength needed for critical power applications.
