About EIM

Celebrating 60 years of global valve control.

Ever since our first actuator was installed on a Saudi Arabian pipeline in 1949, EIM actuators have been at work Everywhere It Matters: in every climate, in every situation, in a variety of industries worldwide.

In 1985, EIM introduced the first digital control system for valve actuators, and we’re proud to have developed and patented a number of other designs now standard in the actuator industry:

  • The open-direction torque switch.
  • The top-entry replaceable stem nut.
  • The reversing starter integral to actuator switch compartment.
  • The automatic declutching handwheel.
  • The first 4-20 mA analog modulating controls.
  • The first digital network control system.

EIM valve operators are produced by our highly skilled workforce based outside of Houston, Texas. We make sure that every actuator exceeds customer expectations for performance and operating life. Our ISO 9001 certification testifies to our commitment to quality.

EIM’s success is further reinforced by our global distribution network, which gives us the ability to design, install and service projects worldwide.

EIM is proud to have thousands of actuators still in service after decades of operation. In fact, that first actuator in Saudi Arabia is still performing today, 60 years later.
